Cancerbane is a mythical beast in Greek legends. It is often depicted as a multi-headed canine guarding the gates of Hades. According to some legends, Cancerbero possesses three heads, while in others it can have a maximum of nine separate heads. The word "cancerbero" is additionally used to refer to a fierce and unyielding protector.
